Down an old dirt road, deep in the recesses of Hanover County, if you listen very hard you may hear the percussive strumming of a flat top guitar accompanied by a set of rawhide boots stomping out a rhythm to the tune sailing out on the airwaves. Follow this music to its origin and you’ll find Chris Adams, sitting out on his back porch, hammering out the final version of some new song he’s working on; writing, rewriting, turning each phrase until all the puzzle pieces come together to form the picture on the box top. “There’s just some magic that happens when after all the blood, sweat, and tears that go along with the writing process, it finally ‘clicks’ and you know you’ve said what you wanted to say and it makes sense, not only to you, but to someone else. That’s the payoff.” Chris has been making music for quite a while, not only for himself, but for other artists as well. He has produced and engineered a number of projects for various East Coast, regional, and even a couple of international artists. As for his own performances, he’s opened up for such national artists as David Wilcox, Blake Shelton, Grammy nominated “Little Big Town”, Pierce Pettis, and American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks.
